It was so great to see students trying their very best during the cross country.
Warming up and stretches began at 9:10 as the morning was pretty cold. Mr Murray set them on their way and Mr Shallard recorded the first five boys and girls home. The Year 4 students joined up together and ran around the school grounds twice. The ten students who finished in the top five ran around the school one more time to see who indeed was the fastest runners, a great race. The Year 5 students joined up together at the top field of Alex Moore Park and ran around the field twice to see who the best runners were. The Year 5 girls and boys raced separately. The Year 4 student from Room 6 did a great job as marshals.
The top five boys and girls in each year level then went on to represent the school at the Northern Zone Cross Country on a bitterly cold day. They were all cold, hungry and tired were they arrived back at school.
Well done Team Two Students for doing yourself and the school proud. Getting to this event is an achievement in itself.
