On 28th of October Team 2 had the privilege of being taught by a teacher - Payton from the Royal New Zealand Ballet (RNZB). We had plenty of fun playing games and learning new skills. We also were taught a dance from the ballet “A Christmas Carol” which we have the opportunity to see next week.
We also learnt about the parts of the stage, how to interact with the music and how to act out a scene – we did shopping at a market, buying and selling things, as this will be the first scene in “A Christmas Carol.”

I feel sad, mad and glad,
I jumped up and down,
I danced left and right,
I danced here and there more like everywhere
I can’t wait to go and see it next week
I enjoyed it you see you should learn it soon!

Today’s dance/ballet workshop was lots of fun. Payton from RNZB came to the Johnsonville Community Centre to teach us some ballet skills. She told us that some of the moves she taught us were from the ballet “A Christmas Carol.” Altogether it was lots of fun.
