Fr. Verghese Thuruthichira VC, Parish Priest, Saint Andrew's Catholic Parish came to celebrate mass in Room 6. It was a very special way to come together as a class community to have mass in our class.
Fr. Verghese was so wonderful with how he explained to all of us the different parts of the mass and why we say particulate prayers. It was great to see parents from our class and from other classrooms attending the mass with us. It was so amazing and great that Room 13 came along to the mass also. A huge thanks the four very special liturgy students who helped prepare the mass with the students in Room 6.
The theme of the mass was to ‘give thanks’ for the small things as well as the big things we receive. We also gave thanks to Rachel, our student teacher, who had been in our class for the last seven weeks. After the mass we had a class shared morning tea, it was yummy. Thank you to the parents who provided food for this.
