On Tuesday we went to Connolly Hall in Guilford Terrace to spend the day with Maureen Phillips and learn about Christian leadership. We started the day with making our own mandala which is a symbol for the qualities that we believe each individual in our group has. From here we learnt about how to lead our peers in different aspects of liturgy such as dance, drama, reading, and prayer of the faithful.
We worked side by side with about 6 other schools from the Wellington region. It was a great opportunity to interact and Miss Kearns was so proud of the way in which we participated and showed our leadership skills in volunteering and understaking key tasks throughout the day. We are now excited to come back to school and see how we can put our skills into practise to help Mrs Webb, our Director of Religious Studies plan for school liturgies.
